Shaun Palmer, PT, DPT, ATC

Director of Physical Therapy

Dr. Shaun Palmer is a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer with experience in college athletics, professional athletics, and outpatient sports medicine and orthopedics. With his experience of working with all types of age groups and disabilities he sees rehabilitation from both the perspectives of what is best long term for full recovery, and also what is best short term to increase function fastest.

Dr. Palmer was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and moved to Phoenix after high school to attend Grand Canyon University, where he graduated Cum Laude, receiving his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training. He then attended A.T. Still University, where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010.

He interned with the Milwaukee Brewers as an athletic trainer and physical therapist over multiple years. He also interned as an athletic trainer with the Oakland Raiders during the 2009 season. After grad school, he worked in sports and orthopedic physical therapy clinics and in 2013 he became the youngest Clinic Director in his company. Aside from being a clinic director, he also maintained the position of clinical coordinator, not only being a clinical instructor for PT students, but also coordinating student placements throughout the company.

Besides directing the physical therapy program at Innovative Pain and Wellness, he is also a PT Consultant for SI Bone, educating other healthcare providers in the diagnosis and treatment of SI Joint disorders. He is also one of the hosts of the Doc Doc Goose podcast. You can learn more about him and the podcast at
